Today we are announcing the Founding Member Companies of TalentBoard. These companies are demonstrating their commitment to our mission of bringing inclusion, equity to the software engineering internship, apprenticeship and New Grad application process. Each founding member has begun accepting applications for internships and New Grad roles in 2020.
“The power of TalentBoard is in our ability to work collaboratively with member companies to centralize the discovery of opportunities, provide helpful tools and advise software engineering candidates about navigating technical interviews and most importantly, securing great jobs” says Wahab Owolabi, Founder of OneReq, the company behind TalentBoard. “That work is more important now, at a time when the equity gap is growing and students need help staying on track during the pandemic. We’re thrilled to have our founding members as partners in this work and look forward to creating more opportunities for students together in the coming years.”
Founding TalentBoard Members are:
|Oscar Health||Shopify||Roku||Greylock Partners||Plaid|
TalentBoard membership is by invitation only to companies that meet rigorous standards in three areas of emphasis— Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Two examples of the standards our members meet are
- Provide training for interviewers and hiring managers to combat unconscious bias.
- Removing university pedigree as part of the screening process and providing alternative skill based requirements for candidates
For all students, whether applying to a member company or any other company, TalentBoard offers students a platform and access to resources, which helps them learn about, prepare for, and apply to job opportunities at our member companies.
